Add Warmth and Beauty to a Room

September 11, 2012

I take a lot of pride in our home, cleaning it regularly and making sure everything looks right. Although the kids do their best to mess everything up, I’m not going to let that stop me from making my home look perfect. However, after thinking about the way my lounge looks, I felt that something was missing; that there was a void that needed to be filled. My floor, though immaculate, looked a little empty and was in need of a little brightening up with something from a range of modern rugs.

I knew that, although I needed to revamp the lounge a little, it was only a matter of buying one or two items to make a difference. Although I wasn’t entirely sure at first about a rug being the solution to my problem, I had a look at the ranges, styles and materials available on sites like sisalrugs.co.uk, and I was surprised at how great they looked. They looked much better than I thought they would, and were made with different materials which were not only soft to the touch, but were also durable and easy to maintain.

After buying one, I realised that the addition of a rug to any room can make it instantly feel warmer, cosier and more welcoming to guests as well as people who already live there. Whether they follow a traditional or contemporary design, adding a rug to your interior is a great, cheap way of transforming your home’s interior, no matter how big or small it may be.

  1. Ahhh, what a cute pic! Good thing your little boy is not like my Baby D who likes to chew our rugs. LOL! I actually have to move one area rug out of our bedroom to keep Baby D away from it…-)

  2. I love putting rugs which matches the colors with each other and with my bed sheets or my curtains. Sometimes, a carpet also. They really adds to the coziness of the room. Not necessarily to be expensive though.

  3. I can’t help smiling looking at D fast asleep with the carpet to give him warmth, maybe he was so sleepy already and was so lazy to get inside his room to sleep lol
