Sure the Iphone has become the most hyped about smartphone the past years but there are a lot of other phones that are worth checking out.
Smartphones have rocketed both in demands in sale compared to feature phones because they offer more advanced computing ability and connectivity Smartphones and feature phones may. be thought of as handheld computers integrated within a mobile telephone, but while most feature phones are able to run applications based on platforms such as Java ME, a smartphone usually allows the user to install and run more advanced applications. Smartphones run complete operating system software providing a platform for application developers. Like feature phones, a smartphone can be considered as a Personal Pocket Computer with mobile phone functions, because these devices are mainly computers, although much smaller than a desktop computer. Agree?
Above is Hubby’s review of the LG Optimus. Though this doesn’t support flash 10.1, with actionscript 3 it is less with the event listeners but once the function is invoked then the cpu gets reved up. For a smartphone it could be a killer once a flash movie with multiple instances of added movie clips are being drawn with visual filter like drop shadows and blend modes.
Other phones that have great features are the HTC Mozart 7, the Samsung Gravity, Blackberry Curve and Torch and the Nokia C6. I don’t plan yet of buying a new one since hubby got me the Iphone 4 in exchange of the 3G last month but these phones are in consideration should we decide to switch.

I got lost around the city…
yes, in this city which I’ve walked many a street almost everyday. I got lost and on 3 consecutive days too. As I mentioned on my other blog I can’t remember where I was headed the first time. Second day was when I was going to the University to inquire about the enrolment. Being inside the building was another struggle as I wander around trying to find the registry office. I had no success in that. I had wanted to take up a Master’s degree on translation but I think I have to find my way first successfully before finding those words in my head. The last time was when I was looking for the Japanese shop that has most of the stuff I needed for cooking. In all those instances, I was just walking.
Normally, I don’t get lost…I have my iphone that the hubby installed with a gps tracking service. Just on those days the little boy has played with it without me having the time to find where he left it. It has always prove itself useful at times I am out to pick up something for the hubby. I know, I could easily look for a certain street on the map but the gps is still a lot cooler to use!

Because it’s the digital age…
…new digital cameras; models and accesories are sprouting like mushrooms left and right. I’m glad that hubby share the same passion with me when it comes to photography although he leans more on the side of videography. Also, he needs photos for his designs that’s why he does shoots whereas mine is purely out of hobby. We have been jumping from Canon to Sony to Nikon to Olympus and to Canon again depending on what we need to photograph.
I was surprised when he came home one time with an EOS 7D. He said that since I like taking action shots, this would be best to use with 8 frames a second. True, I love the features of the 7D only it’s bulky and heavier than the 400d which now appears to be a toy when I look at it (lol). I still have a lot to learn about the 7D but I’m willing to do that slowly to better my skills.
Hubby bought this nikon camera shortly before our summer vacation. He said he wanted to dive somewhere and take clips from underwater. He did what he planned and I’d say this one is a thoughie! Anyway, I’d be interested to know which camera you use and what do you think about it? Thanks for the input!

Battery boost
I’ve had my phone for more than a year now and I still have no plans of buying the version nor the other (I heard they’re gonna launch the iphone 5 soon). I’m not so into techy stuff so I’m contented with it but hubby always find something useful. He would buy Iphone accessories that makes the use much enjoyable. It’s given, Iphone battery life is short so you have to charge it more often. With a battery boost (in photo), your phone can last up to 3x longer use. Much like a battery grip for the camera hehe. Wanna get this soon!

With the new iphone 4 out, you’d think hubby and I are ecstatic to have one. Well, he at least. He’s a gadget freak so whatever new comes in the market he’d certainly get his hands on it. This time he didn’t, much to a friend’s surprise. It was because I have been having problems with my iphone and network. He’s thinking of switching to another company and getting another phone.
I was surprised that tonight he came home with a windows phone. lol. It’s still a prototype…I think. He got it as a sample because he works for the company’s online ads so it’s so sort of like having an idea about the phone.
(I’ll ask him soon if I can borrow the phone and have a photo uploaded here.) SSShhh…It’s not as sleek as the iphone looks.

He’s at it again…
For a time I thought the hubby has forgotten his game consoles. He’s been too busy with work so I thought he got no time for playing hero, soldier, spy or whatever kind of agent. A good thing I thought. Then he suddenly started to be interested with RCs, buying here and there every size of helicopters he finds cute. So far, his fleet has 6 members (shown in photo are 5).
What’s so amusing is he’s been trying to attach mini spy gadgets into those RCs (a camera for one) and bring them outside for test flights. Well, he’d also bring me along for videos. “Better than being out drinking,” that’s his alibi…but of course he doesn’t drink much so I shouldn’t worry too…I guess boys will be boys no matter the age…
