If there’s anything I absolutely detest, it’s clutter. When heaps of unknown documents are making themselves comfortable as archives in a corner of the bedroom, or dirty socks are making their presence felt on the living room floor, I know that it won’t be long before I pull my hair out from sheer frustration.
A cluttered living space makes for a cluttered mind. It’s never possible to think clearly when the house is a mess. That’s why in every home, proper storage of things we use- and don’t use- is highly important. This is especially true for smaller houses or condo units where space is always a challenge. Here then are some storage solutions ideas from www.usstoragesearch.com for your home:

Think double- duty
Get pieces of furniture which serve more than one purpose. For instance, get a coffee table which doubles as a storage box when you take off the lid. Some side tables have built-in drawers where you can store bits and pieces of anything.
Save closet space
A common sight in most households is a cabinet bursting at the seams. It may be time to think about donating that old flannel shirt your Aunt Betty gave you long long ago. Gather your unused pieces of clothing and donate them to charity. You’ll free up more space in your closet and help the needy at the same time. For clothes which rarely see the light of day, you can store them inside your luggage instead of keeping them empty.
Use those walls
You’ll have to make up for the deficiency in floor area by maximizing the walls. To store shoes, for example, get those shoe racks made of plastic or fabric which you can hang on the wall, or even behind one of your doors. For trinkets, coloring materials or other writing or art implements, you can use a wall hanging with storage pockets.
Go under the bed
You can keep toys inside a box which you can store under the bed. Instead of boxes, you can get some of those plastic containers with wheels for easy access.
Keeping your house free from clutter may be challenging, but it is possible. Look in every corner of your home for any available space where you can store things. Before you know it, you’ll be a “storage solutions guru”, and could probably be one of the experts over at www.usstoragesearch.com to help other people with their storage dilemmas.
I’ve seen beds that folds down from walls and beds that have cabinets under them. I think those are cool ways of saving room space.
Yes, they are great space savers. Most of them are made from outside the Philippines though. IKEA do have few of those.
Squeezing space can really be difficult so it’s nice to use wall cabinets or extra compartment under the bed to reduce clutter in the house.
I’m all up for this! When my old bed gets transferred to my cousin’s house, I’ll be having a bed frame built for me. I already had the storage units planned out for my new bed (bottom part), so that I will be able to maximize the space that I have inside my room. 🙂
we are currently renovating our room. this tip would help us save up more space and get rid of the plastic containers. must share this to my sister.
Plastic containers are bad. Go for the wooden made ones/cabinets. Much nicer and better.
I love double purpose furniture. Not only are they functional, they’re also space savers.
