Long overdue piece. Last year, H started doing this project. At night, on Saturdays and Sundays he would spend time in illustrating this comic character, Mister X. This is a project of the SPÖ’s Jugendkoordination (Sozialdemokratische Partei Österreichs – Social Democratic Party of Austria’s youth coordination group) headed by Peko Baxant. Back in college, H would sometimes draw comic strips for UST’s campus paper, the Varsitarian…if not he would include bits of anime-like figures to notes he left for me.
(Hutterer Comics) with Martin, hubby’s friend and collaboratorLimited copies of the noir-style comics were handed out to those who came by during the launch. Noir works are characterized by their dark, moody tones, intricate illustrations, and gripping narratives that capture the essence of noir storytelling.
The launch was held at one of Hutterer Comics’ branches which was located at the 1st district of the city. Known for its vibrant community and rich selection of comics, Hutterer provided the perfect backdrop for this launch.I’m really glad he got the chance to do this.

“Together with one of the best young people Illustrators of Austria, Harold Khan, APO Austria’s youth coordination group have developed a comic that shows Strache’s embarrassing Fix & Foxi inflammatory postille what real comics should look like,” said the SPÖ Vienna youth coordinator, LAbg. Peko Baxant on Wednesday at the presentation of the youth election campaign -Comics about the positive feedback from young Viennese people who have already received the comic.****
“By Sunday, 60,000 copies of the comic book will be distributed throughout Vienna. The graphic novel will also be available in numerous comic shops,” said Baxant, impressed by the response from the comic community.
“Regardless of whether it’s the skaters, the rappers, the bikers, the cage kickers or now the comic nerds – Strache has no appeal among any of the young target groups!”, the SPÖ Vienna youth coordinator emphasized the “lack of authenticity of Kickl’s money “devouring youth marketing machine”.
Baxant concludes: “On 10 10 10, Kickl will experience his blue miracle and finally understand that Vienna’s youth are too smart and enlightened to fall for the 1930s level of his campaign.”
