Captain America: The First Avenger

There are a lot of movies that were inspired by comics, books and other written materials. Most of this are superhero comics, the likes of Superman, Spiderman, Batman, The Fantastic Four, Captain America, The Avengers, Thor…the list goes on.

So my pick for today is Captain America: The First Avenger. For one, I like Chris Evans, need I say more? However, I’ve always associated him with the Human Torch so when it was announced that he’ll be playing Captain America, I was “Whatt?? Why can’t they give Captain America a new face and body?”

Well they did…the body shrinking computer effect was actually amazing as at the start of the film shows a weakly, childlike Steve Rogers (Evans) turned to a hunk, superbod soldier! – No effects there, just pure body! 😉

You very well know the story of Captain America or parts of it. The movie is another story with the basics of how Captain America started…Set in the 1940’s during the First World War. Unfit for military service he volunteered for an experiment, the super-soldier treatment, injecting him with a special serum and dosing him with “vita-rays”. The antagonist is a Nazi officer, he is seen with Tony Stark (Ironman late on), he slept for 70 years and wakes up in present day New York and approached by Nick Fury(S.H.I.E.L.D.).
