Update 2024 : shut down on July 17
The Mirage is just one of the many hotel-casinos on the Las Vegas Strip that offers a full vacation experience without you leaving its premises. It is one of Las Vegas Strip’s all-experience hotel that families can opt to stay for a family break. Technically, “the Strip” refers only to the stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard between Sahara Avenue and Russell Road, around 4.2 miles (6.8 km). Nowadays, the label can refer not only to the road but also to the many hotel-casinos and resorts that line the road, also to properties in proximity to the road.
Being a functional metropolitan area, there are extensive recreational amenities such as lakes, golf courses, parks, bike paths and jogging trails for residents to enjoy. Extending the urban experience to tourists, there are a lot of shopping stores, bars/clubs, and several restaurants and cafes. You can even find a trusted Las Vegas business litigation attorney in the stretch, what with all the businesses invested in the area. Like a usual metro, dentists, doctors, veterinarians, repairmen, firemen, and everything needed for a healthy and thriving community is just a phone call away.

Mirage
I’ve always associated myself with the word Mirage, thus the name of this blog. What’s a Mirage?
- An optical phenomenon that creates the illusion of water, often with inverted reflections of distant objects, and results from distortion of light by alternate layers of hot and cool air. Also called fata morgana.
- Something illusory or unobtainable.
The Mirage
Relax and Be Pampered
Spend a quiet hour or two relaxing and having a massage, a scrub or facial treatment or the whole package and enjoy your stay even more having that feeling of ease. The Mirage’s Spa offers steam rooms, saunas, and whirlpools, as well as relaxing meditation rooms. Pamper yourself – your nails and even your crowning glory at the best Salon, the Strip has to offer. You can even have a quick glow up by having your hair and make up done, not only for wedding events, but just to be pretty for the day.
Swim
The Mirage pool is one of the most beautiful backyard at the Strip with a backdrop of cascading waterfall, so picturesque. You can enjoy sunbathing/lounging with a fruit plate, and then have a dip in its crystal clear waters to cool a bit for the day.
Enjoy Music Greats
The Beatles LOVE – a production by Cirque du Soleil. The show’s story follows the Beatle’s biography with their music interpreted by characters from the lyrics of their own songs.
Boyz II Men – the Grammy Award winning R&B group graces the Mirage on certain nights. Be sure to catch them and see them live, listen and sing along to On Bended Knees, or Water Runs Dry if you must.
Upclose with Dolphins and other Animals
Apart from the 20,000-gallon saltwater tank at the Mirage’s lobby, you can actually swim with Dolphins at Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. There are also White Tigers, White Lions, and Leopards among other beautiful creations. The habitat has received its certification by the American Humane Conservation program for animal welfare for its passing rigorous qualities. These include excellent health and housing; positive social interactions within groups of animals, as well as between animals and handlers; safe and stimulating environments among others. Now that’s a reason for the bottleneck dolphins to smile a lot more.
See the Volcano Erupt
The volcano show is close to real. You can feel the heat as it erupts coupled with the sounds and noises, makes the experience sort of cool and gives you a sense of how it is in actuality. Kinda.
Shop
As with other hotels around the strip, The Mirage offers an array of brands to choose from. You don’t need to go far to buy your new pair of shoes and a dress to go with it. There’s the Watch Boutique which showcases the finest watches and various jewellery from around the world. There are also shops for snack items, Godiva chocolates, logo merchandise, and plush toys that would be great as giveaways to family and friends when you come back home.
Be a Foodie
Cravings at the Mirage is the hotel’s response to the many eat-all-you-can restaurants within the strip. There are a lot of cooking stations to choose from at the Cravings, An all-you-can-drink option can also be availed for the best beers, cocktails, and wine in addition to the 150 Coca Cola flavors they have. Here are other places at the Strip to be a foodie.
Have Fun
Golf, Gardens, Dolphins, Aquarium… Boredom is a word that doesn’t exist here so enjoy whichever you fancy, from playing golf to having a stroll at the lush gardens or from watching a dolphin show to viewing the most colourful fish around. There’s just so much you can enjoy at the Mirage and so much to do and see at Las Vegas. Although the slot machines and other ways you can gamble is legal, be cautious of how much you spend. Moderation is key, an old adage that proves beneficial in this city.
Lovely. For now, it must remain a mirage in my mind. But who knows? Someday I may get there:)
I’ve heard and seen a lot about The Mirage from friends who visited and from a lot of shows. That pic of the pool is truly breathtaking. I hope we can try it out if ever we do go to a trip to Las Vegas. 🙂

When I hear the word mirage the first thing that comes to my head is the book “The Alchemist”.

Sounds like a fantastic place to stay for a vacation. Like you, I don’t gamble but seems like there are so many other things that you can enjoy in this place.
I would probably try their slot machines because I don’t know any other game.
This really had the dreamy feel of a mirage. I hope I get to visit that Mirage some day.
