Ako ay may lobo
Lumipad sa langit
‘Di ko na nakita
Pumutok na pala
Sayang ang pera ko
Binili ng lobo
Sa pagkain sana
Nabusog pa ako
——–
I had a balloon
It flew up the sky
Never saw it again
Turns out it popped
My money went to waste
Buying that balloon
If I had bought food
I would be full instead.

At times we are tied to material things without thinking of what’s more important in life. Like a balloon that we hold on to, things could pop just like that, then we we realize we do not need those things…that there are more important things like our family and spiritual food.

“Only after the last tree has been cut down
Only after the last river has been poisoned
Only after the last fish has been caught
Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.”
-An old Cree Indian saying

Happy LP!
Oh, for those who want to sing along:
Well I am glad we have LP, para ma praktis ang Tagalog ko.
Magandang paghahambing. Maganda at makahulugang tula din.
Happy LP! 🙂
Ang … lalim. Ilang beses ko binasa. 🙂
