Music has always been my constant companion. Whenever I run, when I cook, even when I blog; I always have a song playing behind the background. It soothes me. It also makes me think…makes me wonder – my hypothalamus especially gets emotive over sentimental songs. One such song that calls forth dispiritedness, if not utter sorrow, is Ronan Keating’s If Tomorrow Never Comes (that part that goes “if I never wake up in the morning”).
I know, I should not be soaking in this kind of emotion but let’s face the inevitable fact that…we age, we leave this world, period. Every waking morning I face the mirror and wonder “where has 32 years of my life gone by?” And what if tomorrow never comes for me? I shudder at the thought. Without a minute into it, my little boy comes hugging me and I would be knocked back to reality. The reality that I was briefly afraid of.
No parent would want to leave their kids behind I’m sure. But, regardless of religion or belief, we all face one truth; we will expire, we just don’t know when. This is the reason why we should think of our kids’ future and make secure their financial needs.
If you’re born with a silver spoon in your mouth, this kind of worry may not be as uncompromising. If you’re born in the same class as the rest of the population, a life insurance would be great if in order. There are companies such as lifeinsurance.org.uk where you can ask for advice and quotes, where you can know about terms and policies surrounding different insurance contracts.
My husband and I both have life insurance as a safety net, our kids being the beneficiary. We carefully took time comparing terms and the many types of insurance before deciding on whole life coverage. Whole life insurance provides lifetime death benefit coverage. The advantages of this type are guaranteed cash values, guaranteed death benefits, fixed, predictable annual premiums and mortality and expense charges that will not reduce the policy’s cash value. There are disadvantages too but I tend not to dwell on those too much.
There are always new insurance products coming by, you just have to look for a reliable company who would help give you peace of mind knowing that you avail their services with your kids in mind.
Tomorrow scares me…I worry a lot. Though faith tells my I shouldn’t, I still do. For now, I trust that God won’t let my kids suffer by losing us. I do pray hard and I know he listens. It’s probably time I switch to a more upbeat song or probably sing the psalms of David.
The future for my kids scares me too 🙂 hoping that they will have a bright future ahead of them. They have their own savings account since they were babies. They also have their CDs. They have more money than their Mommy but they don’t know about it 🙂
I agree with you mommy. I have been paying money to a life insurance company to ensure my kids future. I am not a millionaire , i work hard for a living and i am the bread winner it is so hard if tomorrow never comes
What lies ahead is rather unpredictable. I’ve been looking at a certain company’s profile and have not even convinced my husband yet. Sad though, he disagrees with my opinion on this matter.
that’s good to know that you both have life insurance….not all people can afford it.
It reminds me of my dad he used to sells insurance policy. 🙂
I can so relate to you sis, I do love listening to music too, also when I sleep alone. It really soothes me for some reason.
Anyway, I agree. Life insurance really not a necessity for every one due to its cost yet it is really helpful though when the times comes.
It’s unfortunate for other people who could not afford one and we make sure our kids do have a secure future. I am too afraid, but I am kind of in a moment person where I want to enjoy this moment while it lasts. Enjoy the life right now while we can and while the kids are still young. 🙂 Never forget to tell them how much you love them as well. 🙂
Here in US life insurance is really high and hubby drop off and i do not have mine either. But we plan to have one one of this days. Its good you both have…
Same here, I worry a lot thinking what will happen to my kids if i don’t wake up anymore, it is scary and i pray to God always not to take me away from my kids. Insurance sure is the best ways to make sure that they will be have a good life ahead of them even if mommy is not around anymore. i just hope that somebody will love and take good care of our kids the way we love them .
I guess all parents worry about their kids’ future whether or not they are rich. Whenever I see kids begging for alms on the street, it breaks my heart because that is the last thing I would like my kids to experience. Saving money for their future is very important.
Definitely. Each of us afraid of what future may bring and so if ever it will come. but as a parent, indeed the hardest part of life is leaving them behind. But im sure, if this things come God has prepared something to our kids. Something that will make us satisfied and accept the fact we have gone into this world. Anyway, insurance is really a good idea. It’s something that give a big help to the beneficiaries sooner.
My husband and I have secured our daughter’s college education so our next plan is to get memorial plan for the two of us. Sounds morbid but we never know what lies ahead. It’s better to be morbid yet prepared to unexpected than to be sorry in the end.
My husband bought an insurance policy for us. But I also just wanna put my trust in God, especially for our future.
i’m a worrier and yes i do worry a lot of not just tomorrow but even for today. I always pray that when i’m the first to go, my husband would find a good step mother for my children because i know the feeling of not having one, i would like to get a life insurance for us but i don’t know if i could afford that now, with lots of payments to make and the amortization of the house and all but i do have a burial insurance if in case you know and that’s include a small amount that i can leave to my children but of course we all pray that the good Lord will make us strong and healthy so we can see our children grow to adult so we can feel the joy of being called, a grand ma.
Life insurance is good to have as we never know what tomorrow will bring us. Yes, as parents myself, I worry of myself I worry the same thing. I’m just hoping and praying for a good health always. Saving for the future is a-must. For the kids, good education is the best way to give them a brighter future too. Yes, it’s not bad to plan ahead and it is also normal to worry for what is the future hold.
I can’t imagine leaving my kids behind without security. I hope every parent realizes that having a life insurance is the same as loving their kids even when they’re gone.
i love to listen to music too whenever im blogging. it inspires me to write more. i usually listen fast music so i wont feel sleepy. =)
My son always tells me that I’m a worry-wart. What mom in their right mind won’t worry for the future, right 😉
i think our life would be bland and incomplete without music. I’m not a singer but i love to sing in my own little way and listening to music that are classic and country songs are soothing to our soul. It’s kind of a therapy because it can heal our broken souls.
