This makes me feel so old. Not because of the backaches that I’m regularly having nowadays…but because the kids have mostly finished their academic education, with only our youngest in the school system. For most of the times they were “homeschooling”, the kids made use of their usual comfy, padded chairs during online classes. It’s been on our list to buy them better chairs but we bought a new high bed instead.

It was really timely that Flexispot sent us this BackSupport Office Chair BS10! While this chair is for home use, we can see why it’s a great office chair, one that’s fit for long sitting and our daughter is loving it!

Why The Need For an Ergonomic Chair

The box came promptly and it was easy to unpack, the items were neatly arranged inside with proper bubble wrap protecting the metal parts from getting scratched. Some of the parts were already fixed (base and wheels) so it added to the ease of assembly.

But since it’s a big package we had to unpack and assemble in a bigger room for more movement and ease.

Easy To Assemble

The BS10 is easy to assemble, my daughter did it mostly by herself, with me assisting to hold the parts at times. There aren’t a lot of screws needed for the BS10 to be stable. The only issue my daughter encountered was the headrest, as it was not properly aligning at first, but she managed to figure it out, totalling the time to assemble the BS10 to 26 minutes.

Design and Functionality

BS stands for “Backsupport,” thus, this chair’s design focuses on such functionality. The BS10 is meant to help people with bad backs, as its built-in feature is the adjustable lumbar support, which is really important for people who feels lower back pain when sitting. The lumbar support curve makes sure that you maintain the spine’s natural curve, and prevents you to sit straight helping your lower back reduce the strain of supporting a bad posture. The BS10’s lumbar support is easy to adjust up and down, and can be tilted to adjust to the user’s unique body shape.

The headrest is also a feature that adds comfort, it can be adjusted over a range of 6 cm. As preferred,  it can be tilted up and down. This additional headreast design provides support for the head and effectively relieves pain in the neck muscles, should there be any.

With specialized back support and adjustable arms, adjustable height, neck rest, headrest and lumbar support, the BackSupport Office Chair BS10 falls under the executive chair category meant for use on long hours and days on end.

Quality

The Flexispot BackSupport Office Chair BS10 looks both comfortable and elegant. Its five silver-coloured feet made of polished aluminium is different from the usual black as well as the wheels/castors. The castors effectively roll the chair around quietly and quickly, we have parquet and it doesn’t make a squeaky sound.

The backrest of this chair is particularly breezy, although not padded, it’s comfortable to rest your back and with the lumbar support preventing a straight spine when you sit, it will not give you pain later on (speaking from experience, having to sit on a straight back chair). The backrest will not make you sweaty on hot days as it’s breathable.

The multifunctional handles (left) allow you to adjust the seat position, and the backrest to a comfortable tilt. The right handle adjusts seat height, and the backrest tilt resistance. You need to familiarize yourself with these features to find the most comfortable position for you.

Cat and Daughter Approved

Another noticeable feature that we particularly like on this chair is the fabric. Our cats’ claws doesn’t sink in to fluff out the fabric, so even though they love sitting and sleeping on it, it still looks new. This is compared to another chair that has leather and fabric that the cats have dishevelled, scuffed and messed up with.

All in all, the Flexispot BackSupport Office Chair BS10 is a chair worth investing in. It might cost more than other ergonomic gaming or office chair but it does seem its built to last. Hopefully, we’d remember to update you all in a year of its status. For now, we are happy that our daughter (and the cats) are happy.
