I don’t think we’ve formally introduced our cats on this blog yet. We’ve been sharing about them on our pet blog, and you might have seen some photos of them here at some point. Well, yes, we now have three cats named Iron, Leon (both ragdolls), and Minos (maine coon), all long-haired cats. Since we’ve adopted them, our lives have drastically changed.
For example, we have to consider furniture and other stuff at home with regards to them. We bought scratch towers so they wouldn’t scratch the sofa as most cats do. We also removed curtains so they don’t “hang” around on them. We’ve installed cabinets where we can hide their toilets to fit the other furniture at home.
We also wanted to remove the carpets, then again, one can not discount the benefits of having carpets in their residences. Aside from the added aesthetic value for homes, carpets or rugs also have practical benefits that include providing warmth, comfort, noise reduction, and softening of slips and falls. It can even help allergy and asthma sufferers by trapping germs and dust that would otherwise continue circulating in the air. We used to have a dog who pees in our carpet a lot so we just removed the carpet.

We have 2 carpets here at home that are in dire need of cleaning. Too bad we weren’t able to maintain it.
